![]() For French Open you have NBC and all sorts of poor quality streams that might be ideal for smaller mobile devices when you're on the go. Sling and directv now let you sign up for just one month at a time if you wish. ![]() If you don't want to VPN then you need ESPN to get three of the four majors. I may go with FranceTv for RG, and pay for ESPN for Wimbledon. You can put VPN service on a router, but I'd be scared to do that with apple device and their store and that does not help your mobile situation. I've let mine just expire as I got a deal on it last year for $25 and I currently have Directv now giving me espn access for Auz Open. Eurosport player is just over $40 per year. FranceTV may be easier, but then you get French commentary. In the past I've watched FranceTV and the BBC directly, but BBC iplayer is getting very, very good at stopping VPN users. ![]() The other bonus with the VPN approach is you can get by a few geoblocks on minor tournaments from tennis tv. ![]() Just spoof your address to England and sign up (you can get on the website easy enough from PC, doing this from IOS and Android devices also can be done, but is more involved as the app won't be available from the US store.) Might be better to have an htpc with hdmi out connected to tv running windows 10. For 2017, Eurosport was a good tennis tv compliment as it gets you all the majors except Wimbledon. Enter the VPN service (I use Torguard currently which sometimes has deals that come out to just $30 per year) which allows you to view like your in another country in theory. NBC has some weekend coverage, but you really need a foreign option. The big, big problem with not having Tennis Channel in the US is the French Open since they have it and ESPN completely bailed. Directv now is a really nice alternative to sling tv in the US and I love using all of this on my new Ipad Pro 10.5 for taking the tennis on the go (use wifi to watch!). The above is a screaming steal and Tennis TV via Apple TV 4K looks really, really good on my LG OLED TV. If you must have cable in the USA then I hardly recommend the following: You can stream and cheat a sling 7 day trial for a week of ESPN access. Get Tennis TV and that will cover all but the majors. Ĭlick to expand. That is not going to work. But nothing happened since, so I am starting to believe that this is fake news from an unreliable site. Is my best option TennisTV for $120 a year (a bit sad that no women tennis is included)?Īlso - couple of month ago I saw this news that made me happy. I do have ESPN/2 and ESPN3 through my PS VUE so the grandslams are not an issue as all four are on ESPN. I inquired with them and was told that unless you are a cable subscriber to Tennis Channel, you can't see the stuff that is broadcast on Tennis Channel. I considered Tennis Channel Plus - but it looks that they are only broadcasting the stuff that is not being broadcast on Tennis Channel. (I am talking about DirectTVNow, not DirectTV). But, PS Vue doesn't include the Tennis Channel.ĭirectTVNow does include the Tennis Channel (also, only on TV, no app access allowed), but I am still not considering the move to DTVNow for other reasons. I am now a PS Vue customer for few months, and relatively satisfied (don't think i will go back to traditional cable/satellite). Then, Spectrum raised its monthly fees and being frustrated I cut the cord. BTW - this is not a technical bug, I inquired with both TennisChannel's and Spectrum's support teams and it was confirmed that the business agreement between the companies allows the Spectrum customers to only watch Tennis Channel on the TV, they are not allowed access to the app. Given that I travel quite a bit, and carry my computer and streaming stick with me with the hope that I can watch some tennis at the hotel, this became a constraint. TwC or Spectrum were not included in the long list of cable providers on the Tennis Channel APP. However, watching was only possible on the TV because there was no way to login to the tennis channel (TennisChannelEverywhere) with the Spectrum credentials. I used to have the tennis channel through my TwC/Spectrum subscription. For now looks like TennisTV is my only option here, but please hang on and read below (my apologies for the long post but wanted to provide all the background and research I've done):
